Ministries

Altar Servers
This ministry is responsible for assisting the clergy during Mass. The members are children, youth and adults who take an interest in serving God by helping liturgy run smoothly.

Baptismal Preparation
Participants in this ministry help parents and Godparents for the sacrament of Baptism for their children. These people share their faith and experience with parents.

Bereavement Ministry
Members of this ministry assist those parishioners who are grieving. It is a group of 12-15 members who gather with those experiencing a loss to help them feel a connection with the Church and God. These members bring joy to those who are going through a sorrowful time in their lives. There is no scheduled time commitment, but the rewards are worth every bit of effort.

Catechesis
The ministry of catechesis is responsible for helping to teach people about the Catholic faith and nurture people of all ages along their faith journeys. This ministry is relational and ever evolving. It provides catechists an opportunity to share their faith, be a witness for Christian living, and continue to grow and mature in their own Faith as well.

Child Abuse Prevention Training
This team is responsible for training all staff, clergy and volunteers at our parish who are in contact with children. The training involves the discussion of the warning signs of child abuse so that we are aware and can assist in protecting all of God's children from predators. Trainers are parishioners who have complete a 2-day training program run by a national organization called VIRTUS. The mission of this team is to assist parishioners in protecting our children.

Eucharistic Adoration
This ministry is responsible for participating in First Friday Adoration each month as well as occasional 25 hour vigils. Participation includes signing up for a specific hour of adoration. The time spent before God present in the Eucharist can be spent in prayer, reading scripture, praying the rosary, or in any other appropriate way that would help someone draw nearer to Christ. Spending time before the Blessed Sacrament in prayer and devotion is exactly the same as spending time before the Living God.

Eucharistic Minister
This ministry is responsible for assisting the clergy with distribution of Communion to the parshioners at Mass as well as to our parish members in nursing care facilities, hospitals and the homebound. The Eucharistic Ministers are sent from Mass to bring Communion to those parishioners who could not gather in person with us due to physical limitations. These dedicated ministers bring the Scriptures, as well as our prayers, to these people.

Faith Formation Council

Our hospitality committee ensures that refreshments and service are available when needed for parish fellowship after Mass and for other special events. There is also a need for volunteers to welcome new members to the parish. [ Committee information ]

Lector
A lector proclaims the Word of God. They prepare the scripture reading ahead of time in order to put the proper emphasis on words or phrases that will enhance the listening experience during the Mass. Ordinarily, a lector must be a confirmed Catholic; however, this can be waived for special Mass events.

Music
The music ministry is committed to leading and supporting the assembly in sung prayer by lifting our voices in praise to the Lord.  The Junior Choir, Youth Choir, Senior Choir, Family Folk Group, and Eclectic Ensemble all prayerfully carry out this vision of uniting the assembly as one voice as we gather weekly in celebration.  Please see the Choir Page for more details on each group.
