Special Programs

CURSILLO
Cursillo's purpose is to make Christian community possible in neighborhoods, parishes, work situations and other places where people live the greater part of their lives. Cursillo is a short course in Christianity.

A Cursillo weekend begins on Thursday evening and concludes on Sunday evening. In the Boston Archdiocese, Cursillo's are currently being held at the Marist House in Framingham.


CURISLLO/ULTREYA
The monthly Ultreya meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month in the Parish Center Mezzanine. The program consists of a Mass, a 4th day speaker, and the opportunity for everyone to share their journey in a small group.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - 2007
VBS will be held the week of July 9-13 in Westford.
VBS is for children entering grades K thru 4, mission service leader team entering grades 5 and 6 and camp counselors entering grades 7 and up.
Volunteers are needed for preschool, kitchen, clean-up, set design, guides, teachers, art/crafts, guide coordinator, 5/6 grade service leader, and pre-camp set up.

DEVOTIONS
Rosary - Every Wednesday evening in the Church beginning at 6:30pm, for the intentions of peace, conversion and the parishioners of St. Catherine's.

First Friday Exposition - Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is held from noon until 5:00pm the first Friday of each month and concludes with Benediction.

First Saturday Devotion - The first Saturday of each month, the Rosary is recited and Mass celebrated in honor of our Blessed Mother, beginning at 8:00am.

SCOUTING
Boy Scout Troop 195 Chairman, Andy Mastandrea Scout Master, Steve Wyke; Chartered Organization Rep, Kurt Meklenburg.

Troop 195 meets every Tuesday night during the school year in the Parish
Center, lower hall from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. In addition to the regular meetings,
the Troop plans a camping trip each month. Hiking, rock climbing, sledding,
skiing, canoeing, kayaking and fishing are among the many activities in which
the Troop participates. Scouting challenges young men and boys to become
leaders in their community. Boys who are 11 years of age, or have completed the fifth grade, or have earned the Arrow of Light are welcome to join the Troop.

Cub Scout Pack 96

Cub Scout Pack 96 meets regularly at St. Catherine's Parish Center on Sundays at 4:00 PM.
Cub Scouts is for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age. Our pack's small size results in individual attention to scouts and strong family participation. We have an active program of both fun and enriching activities and trips. Recent activities included introduction to golf, fishing, building and racing pine wood derby cars, chess, geology, astronomy, and basketball. Recent trips include Higgins Medieval Armory, Southwick Animal Farm, Salisbury Beach, Lowell National Park, Harvard Museum of Natural History, Great Brook Farms, and the USS Constitution.  We can't forget Cub Scout Summer Camp and service projects.
