Limited to two original works per artist. The WRAE guarantees hanging at least one work for each artist.
Every attempt will be made to hang all submitted work but, in the event of a lack of hanging space,
please indicate your first choice by entering it as 'Entry # 1'.
Any work entered should not have been shown at a previous WRAE.
FRAMING & LABELING
All work should be properly prepared for hanging with screw eyes and wire.
The Artist's name, address, and phone number, and the work's title, and price or “NFS” should be on the back of the work. K - Grade 8's work should be framed or matted with a secure tab for hanging.
Making Sure your Artwork is Ready for Hanging
- For the safety of your work, and the work around it, all works should be framed with secure eye hooks and a hanging wire. This includes unframed canvases as we utilize a hanging system, not nails, to display the artwork.
- The PCA’s hanging system is not compatible with frames with a claw tooth hanging bar (which are designed to work with nails). Again, a hanging wire must be attached.
- Works that are not framed must be matted and mounted with a securely attached hanging wire on the back. Using a hot glue gun to secure the wire is one of the few methods that work. Tape of any kind (Duct, Masking, Scotch, etc) is not acceptable as the wire will slip through the tape. Works without secure hanging wires may be pinned to free-standing panels, and will not be hung on the wall.
SALES
Work may be offered for sale, but please, no Price On Request.
If your work is not for sale, mark NFS. The PCA retains a 20% commission on all sales.
SIZE LIMITATIONS
The maximum frame height or width allowed is 36 inches.
However, if the frame height or width exceeds 24 inches, then only 1 entry is permitted.
LIABILITY
The PCA is not responsible for the loss of or damage to any work submitted to this exhibition.
Artists should carry their own insurance if desired. Submitting a work to this exhibition shall imply an agreement by the artist to these conditions.
