Sunday Morning Greeters & Candlelighters Instructions

 

 

Greeters and Candlelighters: 

Please be at the front door of the church by 10:10 AM and wear your nametag.

Greet guests at the bottom of the steps at the front door.

If they have infants or toddlers, let them know that nursery services are available.  Around 10:30, please sit in whatever pew you choose, preferably with access to the aisle.  At the beginning of worship, the worship leader will call you forward.  Please step

forward and use the brass lighter to light the two tall candles from the chalice candle -- children often enjoy participating in this task -- then ask the congregation to join you in reciting the church covenant as printed in the Sunday bulletin.  You may then return to your seat. 

At the end of worship, during the “Go in Peace’, please step forward once again to extinguish the two tall candles but leave the small candle lit.
