The League will support the existence of an active Historic District Study Committee.

We believe that evaluations and documentations of our historic sites and buildings by a qualified committee, appointed by the Selectmen, is the first step toward preserving our visible links with Westford's history.

The League will support the concept of a Historic District(s) for Westford. The primary consideration is the preservation of the historic and architectural character of the areas. There should be a balance between the needs and feelings of the residents of the district and regulations, which restrict personal preference.
