Distaff's Day Celebration - Once again, spinners from throughout our local region will be gathering to spin some yarn and enjoy each others' company. Traditionally, the day was celebrated to mark the end of the holiday season and the return to work for all spinners. Spinners of all abilities are welcome to bring a wheel and enjoy the afternoon. The public is welcome to come visit and chat with spinners or just tour the museum. Admission is free. |

Bee - Walking wheel, great wheel and wool wheel - different names for the same thing. If you have one, bring it to the museum for the afternoon and make some yarn. Or just come visit, learn how these simple machines work and talk to the spinners. Public is welcome. Admission is free. |
