Friday 23 Sept. 7:30 p.m. - Latvian Culture and Weaving, a lecture by Connie Gray, sponsored by the Nashoba Valley Weavers' Guild; open to the public  
  Wednesday 26 Oct. 7:15 p.m. - Annual meeting – Westford Academy Theater Arts readings based on Civil War letters
Sunday 13 Nov. 2-4 p.m.- Veteran's reception  
  Sunday 11 Dec. 2-4 p.m. - Buy Local, Read local – a reception for Westford authors and their fans
Tuesday 20 December 7:00 p.m. - West Street Serenaders Concert and Holiday Sing-Along Ticket sales will benefit the Serenaders and the Westford Museum. Tickets are $10, and dessert is included in the ticket price. Tickets are limited, so purchasing early is recommended. Contact the museum office for ticket sale information  
  Sunday 8 January 2012, 1-5 p.m. - St. Distaff's Day Celebration - Once again, spinners from throughout our local region will be gathering to spin some yarn and enjoy each others' company. Traditionally, the day was celebrated to mark the end of the holiday season and the return to work for all spinners. Spinners of all abilities are welcome to bring a wheel and enjoy the afternoon. The public is welcome to come visit and chat with spinners or just tour the museum. Admission is free.
Thursdays 2, 9, 15, 22 February, 7-9:00 p.m. - Read Local, Write Local - discussions with local authors about their writing experiences. Please contact the Museum to register for one or more weeks. Free.
  Sunday 12 February, 1-4 p.m. - Great Wheel Spinning Bee - Walking wheel, great wheel and wool wheel - different names for the same thing. If you have one, bring it to the museum for the afternoon and make some yarn. Or just come visit, learn how these simple machines work and talk to the spinners. Public is welcome. Admission is free.
Sunday 18 March, 1-4 p.m. - Westford Minuteman Open House - the Westford Minutemen and Militia will be on hand to demonstrate drilling tactics and historical trades and to answer your questions about the minutemen and their role in Westford's history.  
  Sunday 25 March, 2:30 p.m. - ClassiGals concert for children and the young at heart, by singers Beth Fowler and Jeanne Masterman and pianist Rachel Muller. Open to the public. This event is sponsored by a grant from the Local Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
Thurs. 29 Mar. 7:00 p.m. – Researching American Civil War Records, a presentation by genealogist Dennis Ahern  
Spring 2012 will feature an exhibit on Science in Westford. In conjunction with the exhibit, several science-related events are planned. Monday 9 Apr. 7:30 p.m. - Haystack, Historically Speaking - a presentation by Haystack personnel on the history of the MIT facility in the northwest corner of Westford
  Tuesday 1 May - Haystack tour – an introduction to Haystack Observatory and a tour of the radio telescope (registration required)
  2012 Student Photo Contest - This year's theme is the Westford's Scientific History. Entries are due in May. Find details here.

 

May – Amateur Telescope Makers of Boston presentation and star gazing at the Museum - details are forthcoming
