Most photographs are "taken" but the best ones are "made". If you have an interest in "making" photographs rather than just "taking pictures", then you should join us at the Nashoba Valley Photo Club.
Our club was started in 1982 by six people who, after finishing a photography course, decided to continue sharing their enjoyment of photography. They translated this mutual enjoyment into a concept of "making photography fun".
Thus, from those few who planted the idea, our club has grown in numbers and substance. Now the club provides activities to suit a variety of tastes and levels of experience. There is learning and competition, humor and travel, friendship and the drive to be better at photography.
We are a member of the New England Camera Club Council (NECCC). This is an endless source of material for our educational and entertainment programs. Through the NECCC we have become acquainted with other nearby camera clubs. We participate in regional competitions and other interclub activities.
Our own activities include slide, digital and print competitions throughout the year as well as field trips to a variety of New England places and destinations worthy of photographic interest.
We have served the community by offering assistance on photo based publicity, creating slide shows, exhibiting prints and working on Westford recycling programs.
Our program for this year includes some interesting and talented photographers and several sessions devoted to learning.
Join us! Share your interest and enthusiasm with us- we have plenty to share with you. We meet every first and third Wednesday at 7:30 pm at the J.V. Fletcher Library in Westford, Mass.

Open House
Nashoba Valley Photo Club will hold its annual Open House on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 7:30pm at the J. V. Fletcher Library in Westford. The highlight of the evening will be a presentation by Paul Smith, an accomplished local photographer, entitled "Beautiful America" showcasing the beauty of the American landscape from New England to the islands of Hawaii.
 Bridal Veil
Paul will take us through the Smoky Mountains, Colorado, the Slot Canyons, Yosemite and the desert southwest. The show also includes interpretive work he calls “Liquid Landscapes” and “Water Colors.”
If you are thinking about joining a camera club, this is your opportunity to meet the members of NVPC and get the flavor of the club.
