POPCORN Blitz : The popcorn blitz is a sales event where boys from the pack will work an entire neighborhood simultaneously. The pack receives and extra 2% commission on ALL our sales for holding a blitz day. We need good turnout to make this an effective event. This can be an excellent way for any boys who may be a bit nervous about door to door selling to get comfortable with it as they will be working in pairs. We meet at Miller School promptly at 1:00 PM on Sunday October 4th. Please contact James Baltayan @ 978-204-5029 with questions.
USS SALEM Overnight Trip : This exciting trip is scheduled for Nov 7-8. Please ensure you have signed up and paid by Oct 5 at the latest. The Overnight Adventure offers participants activities that include simulated combat situations such as radar tracking, damage control and simulated fire fighting. Other activities include scavenger hunts, cold water survival, hoisting, and first aid lessons. Our Adventurers get access to areas of the ship off-limits to regular guests. They even sleep in the same bunks used by naval personnel and eat in the same mess decks. So, are you ready for a Shipboard Adventure? Please contact James Baltayan @ 978-204-5029 with questions.
Purgatory Chasm Hike : We are planning on hiking at Purgatory Chasm on Sunday Oct 25th at 10am. Purgatory Chasm on this 900 acre reservation is a deep feature created from a break in an ice dam in the last ice age about 14,000 years ago. There will be cliffs, interesting rockforms, and small caves to see. Overall, we'll hike no more than 2.25 miles in two loops. The first loop (Chasm Loop Trail) will be of about .75 mile with the first .25 mile in the chasm where we will see up to 70 ft. cliffs at close quarters above us, Lover's Leap, the Devil's Pulpit, and the Devil's Coffin. The .5 mile return will take us to features such as the Fat Man's Misery, and the Devil's corncrib. The second loop of 1.5 miles will use part of Charlie's Loop, Little Purgatory, part of the Forest Road Trail, and part of Old Purgatory Trail. Please contact John Amato with questions.
