2010

April 15, 2010 -- Mr. Dixon
--Positive words and encouragement from friends help people shine and do better.
April 29, 2010 -- Mr. Mulligan
--"I had two friends who were both in Scouting, Mike and Paul. One went to 1st class, the other went all the way to Eagle. But both are my best friends. When my son was born, I had a hard time choosing his godfather."
--"Think about how many friends you can make in Scouting; who will you call your best friends 30 years from now?"

September 9, 2010 -- Mr. Mulligan
--"Ben Franklin thought he would reflect on one virtue a week, and try to become a better human being.
In the same light, Mr. Mulligan encourages us to reflect on the Scout Law, "trustworthiness". He wants each one of us to ponder who are the people we trust, who are the people
we do not trust. Then, he asks us to analyze what qualities they have that make us trust them, or not trust them.
This way, we can learn something from both kinds of people, nurturing the qualities that make us trustworthy, while getting rid
of qualities that make us untrustworthy."

November 18, 2010 -- Mr. Mulligan
--"Ben Franklin thought he would reflect on one virtue a week, and try to become a better human being.
In the same light, Mr. Mulligan encourages us to reflect on the Scout Law, "obedience". He wants us to ponder what obedience truly means, whether it means to just follow someone, or to do more. He wants us to listen and obey when we are following, and expect others to do the same when we are leading.
