Enjoying the Great OutdoorsOur outdoor programs provide a mix of activities that build survival skills
and are just plain fun. They are designed for scouts of all ages, so
everyone can participate. They also offer opportunities to develop
comradre within the patrols.
Example of Our Outdoor Activities
- Camping - Monthly camping trips to a variety of destinations including the
White Mountains, Cape Cod, Maine and Massachusetts offers a chance to build
camping and cooking skills while enjoying the great outdoors
- Canoeing - Mixing canoeing and camping, our scouts
have the best of both worlds
- Climbing
- Throughout the year, we offer opportunities for climbing,
typically both indoor and outdoor
- Cycling - In addition to the merit badge for cycling, we often include a
cycling outing in conjunction with a monthly camping trip
- Hiking
- Organized hikes of 5, 10, and 20 miles are included at both the
troop and patrol level
- Sledding - Winter brings the opportunity to go snow camping and have fun
sledding
- Whitewater
- Experience whitewater kayaking, canoeing, and rafting for
unmatched thrills

We also
usually hold a Webelo invitational weekend in January for Webelos
(first or second year) and other boys who are interested in experiencing the
fun we have on campouts.
